"Love"

He's been jokingly asking me to make an entry about him. I smirked.
But deep inside I know that I'll be making one of these days.
Never have I imagined it would be this soon.

Well, this blog is dedicated to my partner in crime, best friend and the love of my life.
(This is going to be a bit mushy and cheezy so if you have some sort of allergies over these things, I'm giving you 5 seconds to press that teeny weeny "x" icon at the upper right corner of this tab. Timer starts now..)
5..
4..
3..
2..
1....

It's true that these days, you seldom meet a person who's going to be worthy of your trust. Love encompasses trust and loyalty. As a matter of fact they're are all meant to be a couple.  :) I happened to have found mine 20 months ago. I've been praying for him to come (not that I've been expecting he's the ONE.as in the one. because the prayers were vague and never were they specific). He came in the right time and in the right place. I guess that was it! God unfolds the greatest things even when you're not paying much attention to it.

The relationship did not start "normally". It was a conventional type of courtship. (message me for details. LOL) BUT never have I stolen him from anyone. for the record. We were at the prime of things. so what-evz haters. lol

Over the past 20 months, this guy has shown me nothing but kindness and greatness. If my words are somewhat close to describing a "priest" then forgive me. It's very difficult to contain it in words much alone how this blog would justify him to me. I've never been the extra "expressive" type. I do not know what he's seen in me that made him last for 20 "irritating-nagging-tantrum-ing" months by my side. But I guess that's just how it is, you'll know for no apparent reason that you love somebody. charooot!

I do not know what's in store for me in the future but everyday I am wishing that this guy will be part of it. I do see him in the future with me but let's leave it to God for suspense. row! But definitely, marriage or a wedding or a baby is uncalled for today. Everything has it's time. Like a culinary chef would say "let it simmer for 20 minutes" haha! If you come to think of it, that is so true! Time has its toll so wait for it.. wait for it.. :) Dili magdali anti :) Just my two cents :)

This guy is my knight in shining armor. He's always there when I need him. Or even if I don't tell him anything at all -- he just knows. How do you quantify that kind of love? I may be lucky... just lucky...

Things are not so jovial right now. Distance seem to matter I guess. And like everybody else who are succumbed to the LDR (long distance relationship) kind of thing, these times test patience. It tests trust. It tests longing. It tests fear. It tests the two of you. And most of all, it tests YOU - as an individual.

But then again, none of these would matter if you have each other. If you have God as your refuge. He's been very patient. I've been very patient. Although, sometimes distance just have the knack of butting in even in the most unwelcoming times. You just have to go through every "sucky" moment one day at a time. There's no science to it!

So here's my share of thoughts and insights about the entire circus on that thing called love: (Babala: Hindi po ako expert. Hindi rin po ako guidance counselor. Ito po ay pawang mga kuro-kuro lamang mula sa karanasan ng manunulat! roooowbot! LOL)

*Relationship works in two ways: give and take. There's never a "take" and there will never be a "give". Period.

*Trust is one of the pillars of a relationship. You break it, then "glue" it all together. If it still isn't fixed, sort things out with the other. Never decide on your own. It is better to fight over something because you told the truth, than leave things untold. Wala pong usok na di sumisingaw. chos!

*You know that "it's not you, it's me" kind of vibe, it will never become a hit. In fact, it will never solve things. It will only leave you both, especially YOU bitter. Talk things out.

*Communication is important. In a day, there are 24 hours. There's no reason why you two can't spend a minute or two to call each other or even send each other an sms.

and this one's important

*NEVER. And I mean, NEVER say things when you're mad. It will never solve things. (See, the redundancy of NEVER? Seryoso ko! haha!) And never strike when the iron's hot. If one of you is boiling mad, then give the other one some room to breath. And then talk. :)

And so, let me go back to the main man, the "this guy" that I've been talking about:

Moi, call this under rated but I only have two super "GASGAS" phrases for you: Thank you and I Love You. Thank you for being with me through thick and thin. Figuratively and Literally! lol. I Love you for no apparent reason babe. I just love how you always save the day like SUPERMAN. My hero and my might.

Sheena <3 Franco
So let me end this with a statement posted in the above photo:

"Everyone comes with a baggage.
Find someone who loves you enough to help you unpack."

I found mine. Have you? Ciao bella!

"Vintage"

"Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society" - Mark Twain

The weather is just perfect for rummaging our store room where old and new clothes party!  :) The room is also home to bags, garments, and newly washed clothes. Sometimes, when things get rowdy the room is converted as a guest room and it's also where my Mama does the "ironing". She's "iron woman," btw. (Yeah. I'm corny like that! tse!)

While I don't have any intention or whatsoever in making this blog a "fashion-ish" type of thing, I just cannot help myself but make an entry about the clothes I've found. I just love VINTAGE. I'm a sucker for old clothes! Fashion come and goes but they do make a comeback, that's why never throw away those gorgeous pieces.

I remember a pic I posted on my FB account where I wore my Mama's black blazer with white polka dots. Here..

I still need to do some refurbishing on the fit, though

Anyhow, here's what I found:

Item Number 1

It's a skort (a combi of skirt and short). Mama said it was "uso" during her days. The item was bought by Papa from Cebu. (Bilib ko sa taste ni Papa! hehe) I see Palazzo pants worn by ladies these days. I think this ones closer to that. The great thing about this is that I don't need to modify it. It perfectly fits me well. And it's high waist too! (see detail picture) Perfect to hide the blabs at the sides. lol

Item number 2

It never dawned to me that my Mom has a lot of polka dotted stuffs going on. :) This ones a polka dotted Sailor top. It's waaaay too huge for me so this needs a trip to the sewing shop. I'm planning to make this as a blazer coupled with a tee and a white short. Perfect for casual sunny days!

Item number 3

Now this one's mine when I was 10 or 12 years old. I remember the local store where we bought the top. This came with a black lace top too but I can no longer find it. :( This still fits me pero too short na. Almost close to my midrib which is not good. (believe me! haha) I need to think how I can revamp this.

So there you go, the latest addition to my vintage collection. I'll be posting some pictures soon when I wear them. As I've said I don't have any plans of turning this site into a fashion blog because I'm not really comfortable doing that. I'm having goosies as I type these down btw. lol

So, let me end this entry with a thought:

Looking good does not have to be expensive. In fact, it's the cheapest thing in the world! All you need is a daily dose of confidence and a capsule of creativity and you're off! =)

P.S. If you happen to love vintage clothes as well. You can  pay these shops a visit.

and

They have really great pieces of vintage clothes. Ciao bella!

"Mic Test"

Hey ya'll!

Cheers to a new start!

I have been dreaming and desiring and wanting and craving and all the other words with "-ing" (hehe) to build my own blog ever since I could remember. And finally the odds are on my favor, I've managed to pull off some strings here and there so viola! Excuse the simplicity of this blog site because blogger and I have just been acquainted for roughly 2 and a half hours. Once I get the hang of things then maybe I can squander here more often to make this site posh! kidding!

Seriously, this is a test site so I can have a feel of how things are on blogger. Later on, I'll be creating a niche for something that I've been thinking of doing. I just need to pick up a really great camera to make things possible. So wait for it....... wait for it........

Let's see how this goes.

Like they say, "Break a Leg!"
